The 250-Mile Family Tradition.
My brother, Hercules, became the first person to run the length of Cyprus. I'm training to do it next. When I complete it, we're passing the challenge down through our family for future generations to suffer the same way we did.

Why run it
To Create The Tradition.

Not only will it be cool for one brother to hold the title of being first, but for the second person to be the other brother would be nuts. I also want to honour him by taking this from a one-time event into something repeatable that lasts generations.
When he did it for the first time, I had never run before. I wasn't a father yet, and it got me up off the couch after I had given up on physical activity following my wrestling injuries, a broken back and neck. I started to run, and even finished the London Marathon three months later. Then my daughter arrived, and that was that.
But I want to be a man of my word, and show that even if you give up once, you can simply try again. Restart, and attack it again. If you say you will do something, you do it. I want the same event to push the generations below us, each for their own reasons.

The Greece world record
1,200km across Greece.
I ran more than 500km alongside my brother and managed the route, transport, food, crew and daily logistics behind his 14-day run across Greece. I also appear throughout the series documenting it.
